Wedding Shoes On Any Surface
As you may know, at Avalia shoes, we believe that comfort is one of the most important factors to consider when selecting wedding shoes, which is why we never sacrifice comfort for elegance. Look out for our current collection to see how you can have both!
After years of creating and designing shoes for our brides, we've discovered that block heels are the most popular choice for our brides, which is why our 2022 collection includes a lot of block heels. They are not only more comfortable than stiletto heels, but they also provide more stability.
Today, we'll go through which shoes we'd recommend for different surfaces! There are different sorts of surfaces you can encounter on your wedding day, from old stately mansions with oak flooring and gravel driveways to cobblestone streets and sandy beaches.
For Beach Wedding
For a beach wedding, we'd pick one of our flat sandals, such as ROMY. Wearing a flat shoe provides the most surface area, making it easier to walk in the sand.
For Cobbled Streets
Cobbled streets are common in picturesque towns and villages, making for a stunning backdrop for your wedding. However, it is not the most comfortable surface to walk on the heels. As a result, we recommend a mid-heel in our flared block heel style CINDY. It has a comfortable 4-inch heel height and provides more stability than a stiletto while still looking very classic. Cindy gives not just height and stability to every step, but also adds glamour and elegance.
For Grass and Gravel
A block will work best on grass and gravel surfaces, whether you like a high or low heel. Styles like Coco would be ideal for this surface.
Block heels are the best choice for your special day and beyond, whether you will be walking down a lovely beach or cobbled country roads. Given the extra surface for strong heel support, block heels are generally the most comfortable among their heeled counterparts, and we have loved seeing larger blocked heels down runways and wedding aisles equally – a wedding shoe trend that is here to stay.
As weddings have become more thrilling over the years, we understand how crucial it is to accommodate tough venue terrain and prioritise comfort, ensuring you aren't afraid about being head over heels...for any reason other than love!
Pro tip: Ivory shoes will naturally get marked with wear, especially if you walk on gravel or grass. We recommend using a makeup wipe or a baby wipe to remove any marks. After wearing the shoes, give them a good quick wipe and they should look great.
